When tourists first meet their package holiday representatives, they are often both giddy with the excitement of a new place, but also tired from the journey there. Good reps know this, and are sympathetic to the tourists, and work hard to making things clear and easy to understand.
When customers arrive, the relaxation hasn't started yet. Generally, they are still slightly stressed about the flight, and not yet in "holiday mode". The rep has to find ways of starting that holiday mode, so simple tricks are useful for getting the visitors to start relaxing.
Small things like name badges help customers understand who is who. Reps who stress organisation and are able to take away the stress of travel will find particularly thankful holidaymakers.
